What it is

Body doubling, done right

Body doubling is a simple, research-backed idea: it's easier to start and stay on task when someone else is quietly working too. The Focus Garden makes that a place you can drop into — a two-hour open block where you come and go whenever you need, set an intention, do the work, and check out when you're done.

It's built for the way real focus works: gentle structure, a warm community, and help that's right there when your attention slips — not a rigid class you have to keep up with.

Why it works — the brain part

Getting started is often the hardest step for a brain that struggles with activation. A shared focus space borrows other people's momentum to lower that barrier, adds gentle accountability, and turns an isolating task into a companionable one. You're not being watched — you're being accompanied.

How a session flows

Simple, self-paced, no pressure

1

Arrive

Drop in anytime during the two-hour block. No need to be there at the start.

2

Set an intention

A quick grounding prompt, then name what you're here to work on — shared with the group only if you want.

3

Focus

Work in the meadow. Slip into a quiet zone, a buddy space, or ask the coach when you get stuck.

4

Check out

A two-minute check-in on what worked — so next time the space adapts to you.

Good to know

Questions people ask

Do I have to talk or be on camera?

No. Camera and mic are yours to control. Plenty of people work with both off — being present is enough.

What if I show up late or can't stay the whole time?

That's the point of a drop-in block. Come for ten minutes or two hours; arrive and leave whenever you need.

What do I actually work on?

Anything — work, school, admin, the thing you've been avoiding. You bring the task; the Garden brings the momentum.

Is this therapy or a clinical service?

No. It's coaching and community focused on executive function and getting things done — practical support, not treatment.

What happens with my quiz answers?

They're used only to personalize your tips and stored privately. You choose whether to save anything at all, and you can enter without saving.
